Bully Problems at Princess Margaret?

From the outside, it appears to be nothing but a jail-like building made of large grey bricks. On the inside is approximately 700 students going about one of their repetitive school days. Princess Margaret Secondary School is located in Penticton, British Columbia. Weather or not bulling is an issue is not yet known. Many times in school situations most of the bullying is not visibly noticeable.
When students where questioned if their school had a bullying problem most replied with a "I don't know." or "No, our school doesn't have a bullying problem.". Even though most of the students are not aware, I noticed some acts of bullying during my visit. It was mostly verbal bullying, not the typical big kid to small kid but student to student, friend to friend, thought of as a joke and rarely taken seriously. When I asked the counsellors about the verbal bullying in their school, they stated that they almost never hear anything about it.

Most of the time students don't notice bullying or take it seriously unless it is physical. At this point awareness needs to be brought to the verbal bullying at Princess Margaret Secondary School. The students seem to be happy and respectful, and don't even know which of them are bullies.
